Coastal Attractions
THE FORTY FOOT
This iconic bathing pool – named by The New York Times as one of the 10 best places in the world to swim – is nestled within a rocky outcrop close to Sandycove Beach. Although it was originally a men-only, nude bathing spot, the Forty Foot is now open to everyone.

Scenic Walks
There are plenty of scenic walks to choose from along the coastline, including two of our favourites:

Killiney Hill
Walk up to the Obelisk and run around the wishing steps while enjoying spectacular views of Dublin Bay, the Wicklow Mountains, the Irish Sea, Bray Head and the Sugar Loaf Mountain. Look out for red squirrels in the woods and for the ‘Druid’s Chair’, believed by some to be an ancient ceremonial site and by others to be a Victorian-era folly.Enjoy a coffee at Mr Magpie located beside the Victoria Gates.

The Harbour trail Walk
The ten-stop Harbour Trail app will guide you as you explore the rich history of Dún Laoghaire Harbour. The trail begins at the Tourist Information Kiosk (adjacent to Dún Laoghaire DART (train) Station) and brings you all the way down the famous East Pier.
